Joshua moved into the professional ranks in 2013 with a big reputation having won the gold medal at the Olympic Games. He has climbed the ranks rapidly winning titles at both British, European and World level. Joshua’s first major challenge came when he fought rival Dillian Whyte in a big grudge match. He ended up finishing him via TKO.
Following on from one of the fights of the year; Joshua will be looking to make a statement that he is the best heavyweight on the planet. He came through a tough fight with WladimirKlitschko in which he had to get up from hitting the canvas.
Takam has had a long career in which he has only tasted defeat in the professional ranks on three occasions. He goes into the fight with 35 victories and just three defeats that came at the hands of top opponents in Povetkin and World Champion Parker.
